Hwagwan and Jokduri by Glimja Hwagwan and Jokduri by Glimja
These two kinds of crown were
used at weddings and other special big occasions, specially for married ladies.
Women used them more in late Joseon; with Cheopji, instead of Gache.

-

(1) Hwa-gwan (meaning "a wreath of flowers")

 - made from paper.
 - usually put on with Dang-ui or Hwarot.

 - taller and more angular than Jokduri.
 -only for special events.

(2) Jokduri

 - made from cloth, and filled with cotton.
 - usually put on with Wonsam.

 - flatter and more round than Hwagwan.
 - for special, daily,
or funeral/religious day (no adornments)

It is actually my dream!!
Well, I will graduate from a university in Feb 2016,
and I should submit my piece to the graduation exhibition.
So I've half a mind to make my own reference book about Hanbok~ XD
