Description

These two kinds of crown were
used at weddings and other special big occasions, specially for married ladies.
Women used them more in late Joseon; with Cheopji, instead of Gache.

-

(1) Hwa-gwan (meaning "a wreath of flowers")

 - made from paper.
 - usually put on with Dang-ui or Hwarot.

 - taller and more angular than Jokduri.
 -only for special events.

(2) Jokduri

 - made from cloth, and filled with cotton.
 - usually put on with Wonsam.

 - flatter and more round than Hwagwan.
 - for special, daily,
or funeral/religious day (no adornments)
